Sparkling Holiday Mocktails

Sparkling Holiday Mocktails Recipe

When you come to my house for dinner, a few things are guaranteed. Dinner won’t be ready on time, so we’ll definitely spend time mingling in the kitchen while I finish it up. And we’ll have sparkling water and homemade seasonal mocktail syrups on hand at all times. It’s not a proper holiday dinner party without fancy sparkling drinks!

These homemade syrups are super easy to whip up, give guests something a little exciting in their glass, and are fully customizable — guests can adjust their mocktails to their own liking. If they want it sweeter, just add more syrup. If they like it more subtle, they can go heavy on the sparkling water. Guests can even have fun mixing and matching the syrups to create their own concoctions.

Once you make and keep some homemade syrups on hand, you can use the KitchenAid® Sparkling Beverage Maker for sparkling water on demand! The sparkling beverage maker is so quiet that no one will even notice when you slip away to finish off the drinks.

Sparkling Holiday Mocktails Recipe

Today, I’m sharing three homemade mocktails that are perfect for the fall and winter holidays: Sparkling Rosemary Orange, Sparkling Spiced Apple Cider, and Sparkling Vanilla Cranberry. Between these 3, you should have all your guests’ personal tastes covered — one that’s sweet, one that’s round and spicy, and one that’s tart.

To make the simple syrups, combine the ingredients in a saucepan from the KitchenAid® Tri-Ply Copper 10-Piece Set over medium heat.

For the rosemary orange syrup, cook for 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves, then cover and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain the syrup and chill in the KitchenAid® French Door Refrigerator.

The ExtendFresh™ Temperature Management System ensures my syrups, as well as other food and beverages, stay fresh and tasting good!

For the spiced apple cider syrup, cook the syrup until the cider reduces by half, about 10 to 15 minutes. Strain the syrup and chill in the Refrigerator.

For the vanilla cranberry syrup, cook until the cranberries begin to break down, about 10 minutes. Cover and let steep for 10 more minutes. Strain the syrup and chill in the Refrigerator.

I used my KitchenAid® 5 Burner Gas Convection Slide-In Range to make the syrups, which is perfect because you can make up to 5 syrup flavors all at once on the 5 different burners!

Once the syrups have chilled, use the Sparking Beverage Maker to make cold sparkling water.

To assemble the holiday mocktails, mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of syrup with 8 to 12 ounces sparkling water and a handful of ice. Taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking.

These are just three pairings, but feel free to get creative by mixing your choice of winter herbs and spices like sage, rosemary or nutmeg with seasonal fruit like citrus, cranberries, pomegranate, apples or pear. When fruit and sparkling water are involved, you really can’t go wrong!
