Pie Dough in a Food Processor


KitchenAid® 7 Cup Food Processor – multi-purpose blade


12.5 ounces all-purpose flour, frozen
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 sticks unsalted butter, cut in half, frozen
1/2 cup ice water


Pulse flour and salt to combine

Using a multipurpose blade on KitchenAid® 7 Cup Food Processor, pulse butter into flour

Pulse to mix

Add 4 tablespoons of water and pulse until it starts to resemble cornmeal. Pinch clump of dough together. If it will not stay together add more water, one tablespoon at a time

Lightly flour work surface and transfer dough to that surface. Lightly gather dough into a ball. Separate in half with a dough cutter

Shape into 2 discs about 6 inches wide and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes before rolling out
