Pie Dough in a Food Processor
7 cup food pro
12.5 ounces AP flour, frozen
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 sticks unsalted butter, frozen
1/2 cup ice water
Pulse flour and salt to combine.
Using grater blade on food pro, grate the butter into the flour.
Pulse to mix.
Add 4 tablespoons of water and pulse until it starts to resemble cornmeal. Pinch clump of dough together, If it won’t stay together add more water, one tablespoon at a time.
Lightly flour work surface and transfer dough to that surface. Lightly gather dough into a ball. Separate in half with a dough cutter
Shape into 2 discs about 6 inches wide and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes before rolling out.
