Orange & Poppy Seed Muffin Smoothie
Makes 2 servings
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/8 teaspoon finely grated orange zest, plus more to taste
2 medium oranges, peeled and seeded
1 medium banana
1/2 cup raw, unsalted cashews
1/3 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract
1 teaspoon poppy seeds
1 cup ice cubes
Place all the ingredients except for the poppy seeds and ice in the blender jar of the KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series Blender. Secure the lid and set the Blender to the Adapti-Blend™ Smoothie program. Blend until machine turns itself off. Alternatively, blend for 40-60 seconds, starting on speed 1 and gradually increasing to speed 10 or 11, until smooth and creamy.
Add the poppy seeds and ice, and blast again on high (speed 10 or 11) for 10-20 seconds until chilled.
