Chocolate Fondue Platter

Chocolate Fondue Platter

I’m beyond excited that there’s finally an easy way to make smooth and delicious chocolate fondue using the KitchenAid® Precise Heat Mixing Bowl!

Chocolate Fondue Platter

It’s so nice to be able to walk away from the chocolate while it’s melting and know it’ll be the perfect consistency for dipping your favorite foods in. The fondue I made came out unbelievably smooth and creamy. You can also proof breads, make soups, overnight oats, yogurts and a lot more using the Precise Heat Mixing Bowl – it is truly a jack of many trades!

The bowl can be used alone or with the KitchenAid® Stand Mixer, which is how we used it. With this method, the Stand Mixer can do all of the mixing once the chocolate has melted a little.

Preheat the Precise Heat Mixing Bowl by pressing the manual/chocolate mode button until the chocolate indicator has flashed, then press start.

Add 3/4 of the chocolate into the the Precise Mixing Bowl while it’s preheating. Once the bowl has preheated to about 104°F, add in the rest of the chocolate and allow it to melt for 10 minutes before mixing.

Once you see that the chocolate has started to melt, turn the KitchenAid® Stand Mixer on low. Let the temperature get to 117°F for melting milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate and around 120° F for dark chocolate.

When it’s completely smooth and melted, transfer it to another bowl for serving.

For the fondue platter, most people stick with standard fondue foods like strawberries, marshmallows, etc. But there are so many other yummy foods that pair well with chocolate!! We added in toasted waffles, donuts, blueberries, grapes, bananas, pineapple, churros, apples, oranges and more. You can even add crisp bacon for a unique platter.
